Beschreibung	by Gemma Carly Pepper This master thesis deals with elements that are considered important in exhibitions with a biographical approach. The questions which the research is based on are: What can a biographical object reveal about a person? What are the curatorial strategies and concepts that can be implemented to create a narrative in a biographical exhibition, in which different identities, social positions and relationships with others are presented? In the practice-oriented part, the essential components and findings of the theoretical framework are presented in the form of an exhibition concept. “Pause to Remember” is an exhibition that functions as a unique, musical and artistic journey through Wales. The focus of this exhibition is David Arthur Rogers and Violet Mary née Mac Millan and the things they left behind. Gemma Pepper, the granddaughter of David Arthur and Violet Mary, takes on the role of author, curator and artist, resulting in a multiple perspective of the work. Through the presentation of biographically significant objects, artworks and contemporary photography, an attempt is made to reconstruct the identities of two people who spent their lives in Wales.
