Description	Wir glauben oft, Materialien zu kennen. Wie sie aussehen und wofür sie da sind. Holz. Keramik. Glas. Stein. In meiner Bachelorarbeit eröffne ich ein Werkstattlabor, in welchem das Urmaterial Holz auf unterschiedliche Weise untersucht wird. Anhand von Eingriffen an 80 Fichtenholzbrettern aus dem Ustermerwald sollen deren Eigenschaften und gestalterische Potentiale erforscht werden. Dabei spanne ich ein Untersuchungsfeld in drei Dimensionen auf: mechanische Veränderungen, chemische Veränderungen und Veränderungen durch den Einsatz zusätzlicher Materialien. «materies» ist eine Serie von skizzenhaften Arbeiten, welche aus Neugierde und Entdeckungslust entstanden ist und dies auch vermitteln soll. Die kleinformatigen Tafeln werden Teil meines persönlichen Archivs und können als Inspirationstool in meiner späteren Gestaltungs- und Vermittlungstätigkeit wieder eingesetzt werden.
