- In der urbanen Schweiz wird jeder vierte Haushalt von einem allein wohnenden Mann geführt. Unabhängigkeit, beruflicher Erfolg, aber auch Einsamkeit zeichnen den typischen Alleinwohner aus. Diese Lebensform erfordert neue, innovative Produkte. Im Team wurde untersucht, was den Alleinwohner beschäftigt, welche Bedürfnisse sein Haushalt erfüllen muss und wo es Probleme zu lösen gilt. Diese Recherche diente als Ausgangslage für die gestalterische Einzelarbeit. Entstanden sind acht Objekte für den Alleinwohner. Sie erzählen Geschichten aus dem Alltag des allein wohnenden Mannes sowohl in ihrer Form als auch in ihrer Funktion. Der Esstisch, der gleichzeitig ein Arbeitstisch ist. Das Vogelhaus gegen die Einsamkeit. Stilvolles Essen und Bügeln vor dem Fernseher. Hemden, frisch gewaschen und gebügelt vom Heimlieferdienst. Der Fett- und Krümelschutz für die Tastatur. Und was, wenn die Frau der Träume zu Besuch kommt?

- Themenfeld und Fragestellung Konsumwelten eröffnen sich durch Produktangebote: die Welt der Zigarrenraucher, der Golfspieler, der Fussballfans, der Weinkenner. Können diese Produktpaletten beliebig erweitert werden? Wo verläuft die Grenze zwischen einem Gimmick und einem Produkt, das Kundenwünsche ernst nimmt? Diese Arbeit ergänzt/erweitert die Konsumwelt des sommerlichen Barbecue mit neuen Produkten und lädt ein zu einer Diskussion über Produktwelten und deren Auswüchse.

- Themenfeld und Fragestellung Zimmerpflanzen verleihen jedem Raum eine besondere Atmosphäre und erfreuen durch ihre Schönheit. Mangelhafte Giessgeräte führen jedoch zu Frust, denn gerade im Innenbereich sind verschüttetes Wasser und überschwemmte Töpfe ein Ärgernis. Auch die ästhetischen Qualitäten herkömmlicher Giesskannen lassen oft zu wünschen übrig; zu Recht werden sie im Wohnbereich häufig ausser Sichtweite versteckt. Pflanzen aber benötigen regelmässige Pflege, und ein Giessgerät sollte sinnvollerweise in ihrer Nähe stehen.
