Es «nützt nichts, die Kamera auf die Welt zu richten: dort draussen gibt es keine Bilder.»
– Diese Aussage trifft gleich zwei Phänomene im Kern: Was macht ein «Bild» aus und was
bewirkt es? In welcher Relation stehen Foto
grafien und ihre Objekte? Welche Beziehung
besteht zwischen Bild und Referent? Welche Rolle spielt der Fotograf für die Aufnahme?
Da Bilder unseren Alltag bestimmen, stellen sich bei ihrer Verwendung einige rechtliche
Fragen und zwar sowohl aus der Perspektive des fotografischen Bildes als Medium und
Abbild als auch aus der Perspektive der dargestellten Objekte: Wann ist die Fotografie und
wann ist das Objekt geschützt?
Die Tagung geht diesen Fragestellungen nach. Sie untersucht das Bild
medium Fotografie
in seinen unterschiedlichen Erscheinungsformen und Funktionen. Ausgangspunkt sind
die Aufnahmen von Paul Hansen, die inszenierten Fotografien von Thomas Demand, die
Werke von Christian Lutz sowie die Fälle «Marley» und «Meili». Die ReferentInnen zeigen
Bezie
hungen und Spannungsfelder aus bildtheoretischer, künstlerischer, journalistischer
sowie urheber- und persönlichkeitsrechtlicher Sicht auf. Eine Paneldiskussion mit den
TeilnehmerInnen bildet den Abschluss dieser Tagung.
