September, 11 Uhr Shedhalle, Rote Fabrik, Seestrasse 395, 8038 Zürich Mit: Martina Baldinger, Stefan Baltensperger, Kamran Behrouz, Patrick Cipriani, Bettina Diel, Mo Diener, Cédric Eisenring, Aurèle Ferrier, Gina Folly, Barbara Hauser, Karin Hueber, Alejandra Jean-Mairet, Anna Jurczak, Sandra Knecht, Banu Narciso, Kika Nicolela, Bálint Rádóczy, Roland Regner, Gaël Sapin, Nicole Schmid, David Siepert, Lena Maria Thüring, Louise Walleneit, Olivia Wiederkehr, André Willimann Die Master Fine Arts Degree Show 2014 wird von Alexandra Blättler kuratiert und findet nach 2010 und 2011 zum dritten Mal in den Räumen der Shedhalle statt. Im Kontext der Ausstellung sind eine Reihe von öffentlichen Führungen sowie weitere von den MA-Studierenden organisierte Veranstaltungen geplant. Zur Eröffnung erscheint eine unter Mitarbeit der Studierenden gestaltete Publikation mit einem Text des Kunstkritikers Prof. Jan Verwoert (Kunstakademie Oslo), eine Einführung zur Ausstellung der Kuratorin Alexandra Blättler und einem von Daniel Morgenthaler (Kurator am Helmhaus Zürich und freischaffender Journalist) moderierten Gespräch zu Themen wie Nachhaltigkeit solcher Diplomschauen oder die Anzahl KünstlerInnen, die eine Gesellschaft braucht. Am Gespräch nahmen Jelena Delic (Visuelle Künste, Pro Helvetia), Thomas Haemmerli (Filmregisseur und Autor) Riikka Tauriainen (Künstlerin und Master-Abgängerin) und Sabine Schaschl (Direktorin Haus Konstruktiv) teil. Zum ersten Mal werden ausserdem in der Publikation drei exemplarische schriftliche Diplomarbeiten der Absolventinnen Cédric Eisenring, Banu Narciso und Florian Wegelin präsentiert.
