        • Der heutige Schulalltag bewegt sich weg von rigiden Unterrichtsstrukturen hin zu flexiblen Lernformen und -räumen. Starre Schulbänke haben ausgedient, gefragt ist ein dynamisches Sitzmöbel. Der «AB Chair» ist intuitiv bedienbar und lässt eine Vielfalt an Haltungsvariationen zu, was die wachsenden Lendenwirbel der Kinder in Bewegung hält.

          • Ein Forschungsprojekt der ETH Zürich untersucht die Abfallbelastung von Flüssen. Der «Bottlespotter» liefert dafür wichtige Daten: Mithilfe einer Bilderkennungssoftware dokumentiert er vorbeischwimmenden Abfall. Die Installation integriert Informationen über das Projekt und weist Passant:innen auf das Problem der Gewässerverschmutzung hin.

Mit den Mitteln des Speculative Design untersucht das Projekt, inwiefern gestaltete Objekte gesellschaftliche Probleme lösen können, und regt zum Nachdenken an.

                  • Dicke Luft im Klassenzimmer? Mit dem «Air Lab» messen Sekundarschüler:innen CO2-Gehalt, Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit und lernen, was gute Luft auszeichnet. Verlaufsgrafiken stellen Veränderungen der Luftqualität dar und liefern Daten für die Analyse. Der Zugang ist spielerisch und experimentell und ein Maskottchen zeigt an, ob es Zeit ist für eine Pause.

Das Gerät wird während der Ruhephase getragen und misst kontinuierlich durch Hirnaktivität ausgelöste Energiepotenziale im Gehörgang. So wird der Schlafverlauf in Echtzeit rekonstruiert und bei Bedarf durch akustische Stimulation beeinflusst. «Neurospot» beobachtet, interpretiert und reagiert.
