Description	Die vorliegende Publikation führt ein neues Schriftsystem ein, welches aus einer Basisschrift und vier visuell kryptischen Modifikationen besteht. Den kryptischen Schriftmodifikationen liegen unterschiedliche Techniken zugrunde, die ihren Ursprung in der Herstellung von Sicherheitsmerkmalen auf Banknoten und anderen wertvollen Druckerzeugnissen haben. Während gängige Schriften um optimale Lesbarkeit bemüht sind, entziehen sich unsere Schriften dem Auge des Betrachters. Ihre Lesbarkeit ist von unterschiedlichen Parametern abhängig. Erst wenn diese erfüllt sind, kann die dargestellte Information entziffert werden. Die kryptische Erscheinung des Schriftbildes irritiert und fördert aufgrund des notwendigen Entzifferns die Interaktion zwischen dem Betrachter und der Drucksache. In einem Specimen werden alle Schriften und Schnitte aufgeführt und mit Informationen zu ihrer Herkunft und Funktionsweise ergänzt. Zugleich sollen Anwendungsbeispiele Möglichkeiten zu deren Weiterverarbeitung aufzeigen.
Description in English	The present publication introduces a new system of writing consisting of a base font and four visually cryptic modifications. The cryptic font modifications are based on various techniques derived from the production of security features on banknotes and other valuable printed products.While popular fonts are designed for optimal readability, our fonts elude the eye of the beholder. Their readability is subject to a range of parameters. Only once these have been adhered to can information be decoded. The cryptic appearance of the typeface serves to confuse the eye, and encourages an interaction between the viewer and the printed matter in order to decipher it. In a sample, all fonts and styles are listed and supplemented with information on their origin and mode of operation. At the same time, sample applications need to display options for how these can be processed further.
