        Sinnlich auf allen Ebenen erfahrbar hat die Kunst eine kathartische und emotionale Kraft und das Potential in politische Geschehnisse einzugreiffen, diese aufzugreifen und zu verändern. Direkt. Physisch. Wie können wir als Künstler*innen mit dem politischen Klima umgehen, in dem wir leben und das unsere künstlerische Praxis umgibt? Wie können wir effektive und affektive Erfahrungen generieren, die zu sozialen Veränderungen führen können? Was geschieht mit der Arbeit als Künstler*in und dem künstlerischen Prozess in einem solch prekären politischen Klima wie in Kairo? Die Recherche untersucht die Grenze zwischen Kunst und Aktivismus in Kairo, zwischen Politischem und Privaten.

        Because art can be experienced by the senses at every level, it has a cathartic and emotive power and the potential to intervene in political events, seize on them and change them. Directly. Physically. How do we as artists address the political climate in which we live, which surrounds our artistic work? How can we generate effective and affective experiences which can lead to social change? What happens to an artist's work and to the artistic process in a precarious political climate such as there is in Cairo? The research examines the boundary between art and activism in Cairo, between the political and the private.
