- Weite, und eine Figur aus Erde beschaffen, die sich darin bewegt, immerfort und an verschiedenen Topografien vorbei, bis sie ankommt, anhält und eintaucht ins Meer, um sich schliesslich darin aufzulösen. Dazwischen Bilder, Portraits einer Frau und eines Mannes, in deren Mund sich Hummeln begeben, dessen Haut trocknet, und deren Antlitz zu leuchten beginnt, bevor es in der Dunkelheit entschwindet.
A Wideness strewn with rocks, with mountains on the horizon. And a figure, made of lumps of earth overgrown by something, in the midst of it. Restlessly moving through different topographies, passing by moors, lakes and mosses. Then there's a portrait of a woman, and bumblebees going into her mouth, after she opened it. An other portrait of a man, who's skin is at first moistly and then gets fissured, and again the woman who's countenance becomes fragile, and lightens up while it's getting dark. Walking by near boulders the figure arrives at the ocean, gets into it and in the end dissolves.

- Ein ungenügender Abschluss und keine Lehrstelle in Sicht. Cem rennt weg von seiner Familie, die ihn zurück in die Türkei verfrachten möchte. Er flieht in die Nacht und lässt sich treiben. Eine Sommernacht, in der er das Altbekannte verliert und das Neue schattenhaft am Horizont liegt.
Unsatisfactory final grades and no job opportunity in sight. Cem runs away from his family who want to ship him back to Turkey. He escapes into the night and lets himself drift. A summer’s night, in which he loses the familiar and the new lies in the shadows on the horizon.

- In einem Fotoautomaten weint ein Baby. Sie versucht es auf moldawisch mit sanften Wörtern zu beruhigen. Die Fotos erscheinen mit zwei eng aneinander geschmiegten Gesichtern.
Ilinka ist 14 Jahre alt. Sie lebt mit ihrer Mutter und Tante seit einem Jahr in der Schweiz. Sie hat vor kurzem ein Kind geboren. Ilinkas Mutter hat über eine Box gehört, in welche Babies gelegt werden können.
In a photo booth, a baby is crying. A female voice is heard saying comforting words. A photo appears with a teenage girl and a baby cuddled in her arms.
Ilinka is 14 years old. She has been living in Switzerland for a year with her mother and her aunt. Ilinka just gave birth to a boy. Ilinka‘s mother has heard about a box where babies can be deposited.

BORIS (39) surprises his son FREDRIK (10) with a fishing trip. Despite Fredrik gets bored pretty soon Boris stubbornly sticks to his plan. As they start talking about their broken home Boris gets out of control.

Sie kennen sich seit Langem und haben unterschiedliche Lebensmodelle verfolgt: Gloria ist Anwältin, Emma Fotografin. Gemeinsam ist ihnen die Unsicherheit, den richtigen Weg eingeschlagen zu haben. Erst am Gegenüber erkennen sie, dass jede Wahl ihre Kehrseite hat. Als ihnen eine junge Frau mit Baby begegnet, kommt eine weitere Dimension ins Spiel: Den Beiden wird bewusst, dass sich bereits ein Generationenwechsel vollzieht, wodurch sie ihre Lebensfragen im Licht der Vergänglichkeit begreifen.
The longtime friends Emma and Gloria, in their late 20s, meet eachother for their morning coffee routine. They've gone down different professional paths: Gloria's a lawyer, Emma's a photographer. However, both of them are insecure about their desicions in life. When comparing themselves, they realize that every choice has it's downside. Another dimension comes into play, when they witness a blissful young mother with her baby. Realizing that their own generation's already followed by the next one, puts their questions about life into perspective and makes them conscious of their own mortality.

Sie nimmt sich alle Zeit der Welt. Und trifft auf den Autostopper Jonas. Gemeinsam erkundet man die Irrgärten temporärer Wohnanlagen. In der Nacht lieben sie sich. Anna fotografiert den Jungen im Schlaf. Am Tag darauf kehrt sie zu ihrem Freund zurück. Jonas wartet auf einen Zug Richtung La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Camping sites at the Lake Neuchâtel. Thethirty year old Anna is on her photo research. She travels around to find locations for a movie production. She feels under pressure by her clingy boyfriend who
constantly calls her. But she takes all the time she needs. She meets the drifter Jonas. Together they discover the shortlived communities. At night the make love. Anna photgraphs the boy while he is sleeping. The next day she returns to her boyfriend. Jonas waits fort he train to La Chauxde-fonds.

- Der 11 jährige Manuel wächst in sehr behüteter Umgebung bei seinen Eltern Jaqueline und Daniel auf. Im Garten in einer Hecke hat er sich einen Ort geschaffen, an dem er sich der ständigen Kontrolle seiner Mutter entzieht. Hier sammelt er all die Dinge, die ihm eigentlich verboten sind, und die er wie einen Schatz hütet. Als die Mutter das Versteck entdeckt, verliert Manuel seinen letzten Rückzugsort.
Er greift zu drastischen Massnahmen und geniesst einen Tag uneingeschränktes Kindsein.
We want to give an insight into the life of a boy, who knows only the world his parents allow him to see. He grows up in an over-protected environment where everything is absent, that could possibly have a bad influence on his development. We can’t and don’t want to explain what exactly happens within such a child. The principle issue of this film is the atmospherical approach to his home.

- In der Zukunft existiert das Meer nicht mehr. Die Menschen leben in einer Welt, in der sie die
Sachen von damals imitieren. An einem falschen Strand bauen Kinder identische Sandburgen.
Nur Estelle (12) schaut zu einer Wand, auf der das Meer abgebildet ist.
Thibaud (12) nähert sich dem Mädchen und erzählt ihr, dass er die damalige Welt sehen kann.
Estelle geht mit ihm zusammen in sein Versteck. Thibaud versucht sie zu überzeugen, eine Pille
zu nehmen, die ihr erlaubt, das echte Meer zu sehen.
In a future where the sea doesn’t exist anymore and where adults imitate things from the past,
dozens of children are building sand pies on an artificial beach. Only Estelle (12) looks at a wall on
which the sea is painted. Thibaud (12) approaches the girl and pretends he could see the things
that no longer exist. He takes her to his hiding place and tries to convince her to take a pill that
would allow her to see the real sea.
