"„In eine vollkommen fremde, künstliche Landschaft entführt uns Lisa Biedlingmaier, die uns ausgehend
von einer Fototapete, ein beklemmendes Szenario organisch-amorpher Formen präsentiert. Die schwer
entschlüsselbaren, unheimlich anmutenden Konstruktionen ergeben ein alptraumhaftes Gesamtbild, das in
seiner Komposition noch an das idyllische Ausgangsbild erinnert. Eine Überprüfung der Details erlauben
die kleineren Aufnahmen, in denen die wuchernden und wabernden Ingredienzien des Schreckens einzeln
seziert werden.“ Kerstin Stremmel
Die Arbeit besteht aus einer grossen Landschaftsaufnahme (130x160) und 9 Detailaufnahmen (30x40).
Ausgehend von der Komposition einer Palmen-Strand-Fototapete ist ein Landschaftsmodell entstanden,
welches jedoch eher einem Grusel-Szenario gleicht. Die anklingende Idylle, soll den ästhetischen Gegensatz
verstärken.
Man begibt sich auf einen Spaziergang und entdeckt die Flora und Fauna in Einzel-Exemplaren pflanzlicher
Wucherungen, insektenähnlicher Geschwüren, keimender Nester.
Der Name der Arbeit, SPAWN OF THE BLOB IN THE SWAMP, ist zusammengestellt aus Titeln einiger
B-Movies. An diesem Punkt ist auch die Schnittstelle zu meiner theoretischen Arbeit „Trash, ein kulturelles
Phänomen“.
Die Ästhetik des Mediums Fotografie wird hier bewusst divergent eingesetzt um das Wechselspiel zwischen
Anziehung und Abstoßung zu bewirken."
