Beschreibung	Das Restaurierungsprojekt möchte zum Erhalt eines repräsentativen Teils der alternativen Schweizer Filmgeschichte von 1950 bis ca. 1980 beitragen. Dazu werden Daten zu den Filmen von über 50 AutorInnen erhoben, Zustandsanalysen der vorhandenen Filmkopien gemacht, wo nötig erste Sicherungsmassnahmen ergriffen und Restaurierungsarbeiten veranlasst. Diese Bestandesaufnahme dient als Vorarbeit zur wissenschaftlichen Aufbereitung des künstlerischen Filmschaffens in der Schweiz. Ein Teil der Filme, deren Bedeutung für die Schweizer Filmgeschichte noch zu entdecken ist, kann so der Öffentlichkeit wieder im Originalformat vorgestellt werden. Für die Forschung werden ausserdem DVDs der Filme produziert und einem interessierten Publikum zur Verfügung gestellt.
