Description	Im Zentrum des Projekts Sound Colour Space – A Virtual Museum steht das Begriffsfeld Klang, Ton, Tonhöhe, Klangfarbe in seiner Beziehung zu visuellen Phänomenen und geometrischen Konzepten. Das Vorhaben versteht sich als Beitrag zu einem interdisziplinären Forschungsgebiet und erforscht seine adäquaten Darstellungs- und Vermittlungsformen. Zahlreiche Wissenschaftler und Philosophen von der Antike bis zur heutigen Zeit haben die Beziehungen zwischen Ton, Farbe und Geometrie untersucht. Viele ihrer Visualisierungen zu akustischen, optischen und wahrnehmungsbezogenen Themen sprechen zu den Augen und sollen vergleichend studiert werden. Da ein gegebenes Bild oder Diagramm in verschiedenen Kontexten und mit unterschiedlichen Implikationen auftreten kann, erlaubt eine ausgeprägte Netzwerkarchitektur eine redundanzfreie Darstellung der betreffenden Inhalte. Neben der Entwicklung einer exemplarischen Webanwendung, wird das Themengebiet mit Beiträgen aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen und mit künstlerischen Anwendungen bearbeitet und in einen aktuellen Forschungskontext gestellt.

  Das Verhältnis zwischen Klang, Farbe und Raum in der Musiktheorie ist Thema und Ausgangspunkt des Forschungsprojekts «Sound Colour Space» zugleich. Thema, weil im Rahmen des Projekts Erkenntnisse unter anderem über die Tonsysteme von Robert Fludd, René Descartes und Isaac Newton erarbeitet wurden. Ausgangspunkt, weil die historischen musiktheoretischen Diagramme der genannten Wissenschaftler Anregung für interaktive und klangliche Experimente darstellen. Die Ergebnisse dieser theoretischen und künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung mit Diagrammen stellen die Wissensexponate des virtuellen Museums dar. Im virtuellen Museum soll keine Geschichte erzählt werden. Vielmehr haben die einzelnen Wissensexponate eine unterschiedliche Gestalt und treten verschieden miteinander in Verbindung. Auf diese Weise hat das virtuelle Museum selbst eine diagrammatische Struktur.
  
  Der gleichnamige Beitrag auf der Schlusskonferenz thematisiert Diagramme als Untersuchungsgegenstand und Vermittlungsform im Projekt «Sound Colour Space». Anhand der Arbeitsweisen der Projektmitarbeitenden und der daraus resultierenden diagrammatischen Artefakte werden die individuellen Wissensexponate und das ihnen zugrunde liegende Vermittlungsmodell charakterisiert. Unter den verschiedenen Typen von Diagrammen finden sich auch solche, die zur Verständigung über die Projektidee oder als Prototypen zur Überprüfung inhaltlicher Aussagen entstanden sind. Vom Datenmodell, über Analysetools zu Erklärungsmodellen – es ist zu zeigen, welche Funktion Diagramme in der wissenschaftlichen, künstlerischen und konzeptionellen Projektarbeit eingenommen haben.
  
  In diesem Set sind beispielhafte Diagramme zusammengetragen und thematisch gruppiert.

  The short video documents the activities of the Study Group "Musical Diagrams" at the 21st Quinquennial Congress of the International Musicological Society (IMS), which took place in Athens from 22 to 26 August 2022. The work "Typology & Topology of Musical Diagrams (2020)" by Gerhard Dirmosers (Linz) consisting of 34 posters in a matrix arrangement has been displayed for the first time. These posters feature the "universe of diagrams" from the history of music theory (and color theory) as interrelated diagrams following various networks.
  Several posters by Daniel Muzzulini and his collaborators - Susan Forscher Weiss, Christoph Reuter, Christoph Stähli) complement the exhibition. Corresponding interactive new exhibits from the Virtual Museum Sound Colour Space and a mechatronic instrument (E-Bow) were also shown at the exhibition.
