Martina Tobler: tueorEin Augenarzt erzählt von seiner Kakteensammlung, die er über viele Jahre stückweise zusammengetragen hat, hegt und pflegt. In Gesprächen mit der Künstlerin erscheint diese Sammlung als Verlängerung seiner Selbst. Zugleich ist der Raum mit einer Bildersammlung der Künstlerin ausgefüllt, welche die Bindung zwischen Sammler und Sammelstücken zeigt. So werden menschliche Gefässdarstellungen mit der Darstellung einer Wurzel gleichgesetzt und das Röntgenbild eines Apfels kommt einem menschlichen Auge nahe. As the conversation proceeds, it emerges that the collection is actually an extension of his own being. The artist also fills the space with a collection of images, illustrating this bond between the collector and his specimens. The blood vessels of the human organism are portrayed as equivalent to a plant rot, for example, and the X-ray of an apple is reminiscent of the human eye. The visible electrical cable also reminds us that everything is connected and integrated in a single system.
