The “Care Arbeit” animation draws attention to the socially important topic of care work and its place in a woman's life. This work includes all tasks related to the direct care of another person. This work is considered intrinsically motivated and is therefore assumed by many to be unpaid. The heroine of the video spends part of her life in her care work, but loses opportunities to succeed in other areas. Nevertheless, this work remains unpaid.
In the music, I focused on the task of creating a wall-to-wall musical background that would fit the filmmakers' idea and emphasize the genre of social advertising, but on the other hand, would be flexible enough to respond to the accents offered by the animation and text. It was decided to convey the ironic story through vivid jazz sounds, so I used the instruments of the jazz quartet: piano, bass, vibraphone and drums. The accents become important elements, giving space to the text, but retaining movement, with the bass part continuously driving the music forward.
