«Vom Ursprung» ist ein Konvolut aus Fundstücken, Reflexionen und Untersuchungen eines Bibliothekars, dem die unerschöpfliche Menge an Informationen in der «Bibliothek von Babel» zur Verfügung steht. Es bildet die Irrgänge, parallelen Narrative und diametralen Perspektiven ab, auf die er bei seiner Suche stösst, sowie die Fluidität und Veränderlichkeit der Sachverhalte und schliesslich die Unauffindbarkeit absoluter Antworten. Die Verzweigungen seines immer komplexer werdenden Gedankenkonstrukts treiben ihn allmählich in fatale Selbstzweifel und Wahnvorstellungen.
«Vom Ursprung» («In Search of Origins») is a collection of findings, reflections and investigations by a librarian who has access to the inexhaustible amount of information contained in the «Library of Babel». It depicts the aberrations, parallel narratives and diametrical perspectives he encounters in his search, the fluidity and changeability of facts and, ultimately, the impossibility of finding absolute answers. The ramifications of his increasingly complex mental construct gradually drive him into fatal self-doubt and delusions.
