Susie zweifelt an ihrem Talent als Jungkünstlerin. Ganz im Gegensatz dazu malt ihr älterer Nachbar Herr Behrman kontinuierlich an seinem Meisterwerk.
Nach einer Auseinandersetzung versucht Behrman der jungen Susie zu beweisen, was ihr als Künstlerin wirklich noch fehlt. Wird sie auf ihn hören? Basierend auf einer Kurzgeschichte des amerikanischen Autors O'Henry spielt dieser Film in einer leisen Welt voller Nostalgie.
Susie has increasing doubts about her talent as a young artist. Her elderly neighbor Mr. Behrman, on the other hand, is convinced that he is going to produce a masterpiece. After a disagreement, Behrman tries to prove to Susie that she is missing one essential quality of a true artist. Will she listen to him? Based on a short story by the American author O'Henry, this is a quiet, nostalgic film.
