Das Projekt "In times like this; 100 improvements fort he City of Zurich" ist eine Form sozialer, öffentlicher und partizipatorischer Performance. Sie findet in Zürich statt, wo ich 100 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer wie lokale Künstler, Asylbewerber, Immigranten, Kinder, Jugendliche, ältere Menschen und Mitglieder des Zürcher Stadtparlaments bitte, einen anonymen Brief zu schreiben, in dem sie Verbesserungen für die Stadt vorschlagen. Höhepunkt ist eine kollektive Performance. Das Projekt war von "Proposals for Rationally Improving the City of Paris” inspiriert, den 1955 gemeinsam von Mitgliedern der Internationalen Lettristen (LI) geschriebenen Brief. Die Internationalen Lettristen waren ein in Paris wirkendes Kollektiv radikaler Künstler und Theoretiker, die nach Lösungen für die verschiedenen städtebaulichen Probleme der Stadt suchten.
In times like this; 100 improvements for the City of Zurich, is a project consisting of a social, public, and participatory performance taking place in Zurich, where I would ask 100 participants comprising (local artists, asylum seekers, immigrants, children, teenagers, senior citizens and members of Zurich parliament) to write an anonymous letter proposing improvements to the city, culminating in a collective performance. This project was inspired by “Proposals for Rationally Improving the City of Paris”, a letter written collectively by members of The Letterist International (LI) in 1955, a Paris-based collective of radical artists and theorists, offering solutions to the various urbanistic problems of the city.
