Ziel dieses forschungsbasierten Projekts ist es, der Dekolonisierung und ihren Auswirkungen auf die Öffentlichkeit nachzugehen. In diesem Forschungsfeld ist das Medium der Performance eine innovative Art, vor Ort Fragen stellen. Die Aktionen und Performances im öffentlichen Raum sind eine Möglichkeit, ihren alltäglichen Gebrauch und ihre Grenzen innerhalb einer Stadt zu beobachten und zu analysieren.
Wenn wir öffentlich genutzten Raum als kulturellen, politischen, ökonomischen und sozialen Ausdruck verstehen, der durch ebendiese öffentliche Nutzung geprägt wird , so wird er zum Spiegel der zeitgenössischen Gesellschaft. Der Raum stellt so ein sich wandelndes Phänomen dar, und zwar sowohl auf Ebene der Strasse als auch auf Ebene der Stadt. Aufgrund seines schnellen Wachstums entstehen Probleme der Segregation und Ausgrenzung. Wenn wir die Stadt als Spiegel der Gesellschaft wahrnehmen, müssen wir sie auch von der anderen Seite betrachten: Als Stadt die mit ihren Fragmentierungen auch eine geteilte Nation schafft, in der das Miteinander nicht mehr zählt und Verwandtschaft nicht gelebt wird. Die Privatisierung der öffentlichen Räume verstärkt diese Spaltung und diese wiederum erzeugt hierarchische Gewalt.
The goal of this research-based project is to pursue the issues of decolonization and its impacts on the public. The medium of performance in this research field is an innovative way of asking questions in the field. The actions and performances in public space is a way to observe and analyze their everyday use and borders within a city.
If we perceive publicly used space that is shaped by cultural, political, economic, and social aspects, it reflects contemporary society. It therefore represents a changing phenomenon in terms of both the street and the city. Due to rapid growth, there are problems of segregation and exclusion. If we perceive the city as a mirror of society, we must also look at it from the aspect that its fragmentation also creates a divided nation, where togetherness no longer counts, and relationships are not lived. The privatization of public spaces reinforces this division, which again creates hierarchical violence.
