"Kiribati: Musik eines unsichtbaren Volks" ist einem Staat gewidmet, der bald kein Land mehr haben wird. Dem Land steht eine stille Invasion bevor. Kiribati ist ein Archipel in der Mitte des pazifischen Ozeans, das innerhalb der nächsten 50 Jahren aufgrund der Erhöhung des Meeresspiegels vom Wasser verschluckt wird. Zusammen mit dem Archipel wird auch die Nationalität des Volks versinken. Daniel Barnbeck versucht in einer App den aktuellesten Stand dieses Volks zu dokumentieren. Anhand von vor Ort gesammelten Klängen wird die akustische Umwelt rekonstruiert und dadruch die Musik komponiert.
