Das Ausstellungsprojekt «gejagt – gepflanzt: künstlerische Interventionen im Schlosspark Wädenswil» ist eine Kooperation zwischen Studierenden des Bachelor of Arts in Art Education und dem Verein Landart im Schlosspark Wädenswil.
Elf Studierende haben sich im letzten Semester des Studiums dem Gehölzgarten gewidmet. Sie haben den Pflanzenraum auf sein künstlerisches Potenzial hin untersucht und sind dabei insbesondere seinen Entstehungsbedingungen im vorletzten Jahrhundert auf den Grund gegangen. Damals haben Pflanzenjägerinnen und -jäger aus Europa ferne Länder bereist und Kostbarkeiten aus deren Flora zurückgebracht. Die meisten Bäume aus dem Schlosspark haben dort ihren exotischen Ursprung.
Entstanden sind elf Arbeiten, welche nicht nur im Park zu sehen sind, sondern auch über seine Grenzen in die Stadt hinausgreifen, als künstlerische Interventionen im öffentlichen Raum oder unter Einbezug von Menschen der Stadt Wädenswil, die bei der Entstehung der Werke mitgewirkt haben. Wer nun aufmerksam durch die Stadt geht, kann einiges entdecken und mit etwas Glück sogar in das eine oder andere Werk miteinbezogen werden.

The project entitled "hunted – planted – Artistic interventions in the Wädenswil Castle Park" is a collaboration between students in the Bachelor of Arts in Art Education programme and the Wädenswil Castle Park Land Art Association (Verein Landart im Schlosspark Wädenswil).In the last semester of their programme, eleven students turned their attention to the arboretum. They examined the plantation area in terms of its artistic potential, focusing on the circumstances of its creation in the century before last. At that time, European "plant hunters" had travelled distant lands and brought back treasures from their flora. Most of the trees in the castle park come from such exotic origins.The process resulted in eleven artistic works, located not only in the park itself, but also outside it in the city streets, as artistic interventions in public spaces, or with the involvement of local inhabitants actually participating in the creation of the works.An observant walker strolling the city streets can make some interesting discoveries, and may even be lucky enough to become part of one of these artistic creations.
