2014 / Prints on Glass / 37 x 53 cm On a rooftop of Zürich, we removed the cover of a flatbed-scanner so that it faced the sky. Set to the highest resolution, the scanner slowly recorded from one side to the other. During this quarter hour as the image was being generated, clouds above rolled on by and the sky‘s hues and brightness continued to change. The resulting image is only an impression of a Sunset or a Sunrise. Beyond the particles of dust or droplets of water, which had fallen against the glass, is a field of unfocusness stretching into infinity.
