Der Theatertext WUNDE R von Enis Maci bildet den Ausgangspunkt der künstlerischen Auseinandersetzungen der diesjährigen Abschlussinszenierungen des BA Theater von Dramaturgie, Bühne, Schauspiel und Regie. Die Arbeiten werden im Rahmen von Werkstattaufführungen in und um Bühne B gezeigt.
Mein Körper ist besetzt von Erinnerungen.
Erinnerungen, die sich in meinem genetischen Code eingebrannt haben, Erinnerungen, die mein Inneres nach aussen stülpen und als chronische Wunde fortbestehen.
Doch was passiert, wenn aus meinen Erinnerungen eine Geschichte wird und diese Geschichte ein «wir» erzeugt und dieses «wir» sich heilsam anfühlt?
Inspieriert von Enis Macis «Wunder», widmen wir uns den kollektiven Wunden einer körperfixierten Gesellschaft. Und dem Geschichtenerzählen als Akt der Liebe.

Was ist eine Wunde? Ist sie ein Spalt, eine Kerbe, ein crack, ein glitch, ein Zwischenbereich? Ist sie ein Fehler, den es zu überdecken, zu heilen gilt oder ein Potential, das sich lohnt, auszuloten?
WUNDER und ich denke an das holy hole erfragt in der Auseinandersetzung mit der menschlichen Physis die Konstitution von Gemeinschaft. Wie kann Gemeinschaft wirken, wenn wir die Fragilität unserer Körper anerkennen?
Der Text WUNDE R von Enis Maci bietet die Grundlage für die Suche nach möglichen Antworten auf diese Frage.

- In der Präsentation «Verfolgt – Lecture Performance» wird anhand von drei Filmen gezeigt, wie Musik in Flucht- und Verfolgungsfilmen kompositorisch und technisch umgesetzt werden kann. Einer der Filme, «180 Grad – Die Geschichte einer Flucht», wird an diesem Tag ausserdem Premiere feiern.

Film 1: Text me when you’re home. (Animationsfilm)
«Auf dem nächtlichen Nachhauseweg wird Valerie in den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln von einem Mann belästigt. Sie verlässt die Strassenbahn und geht zu Fuss weiter, doch im Dämmerlicht der Stadt fühlt sie sich zunehmend unsicher. Selbst als sie sicher zu Hause angekommen ist, bleibt der Schatten des Belästigers präsent.»

Film 2: Remove hind legs before comsumption (Animationsfilm)
«Friedlich in einer Höhle lebt eine Stadt von Grillen, bis ihre Welt durch ein Erdbeben auf den Kopf gestellt und durch einen riesigen Roboterarm auseinandergerissen wird. In einer Insektenfarm werden die Grillen in Massen gezüchtet, eingefroren, verpackt und zum Frittieren verschickt. Doch einer einzigen Grille gelingt die Flucht.»

Film 3: 180 Grad - Die Geschichte einer Flucht
Der Kurzdokumentarfilm «180 Grad – Die Geschichte einer Flucht» handelt von Emrah*, einem Syrer, der Anfang 2015 über die Balkanroute aus seiner Heimat nach Deutschland geflüchtet ist. Emrah selbst erzählt von seinem Leben in Syrien und davon, was ihn letztlich dazu bewegt hat, seine Heimat und seine Familie, alles was er liebt, hinter sich zu lassen. Eigentlich hatte Emrah nicht vor, Syrien für immer zu verlassen und eigentlich sollte Istanbul das Ziel seiner Flucht sein. Letztlich musste er die Türkei aber verlassen. Er beschreibt seine Erlebnisse auf der Bootsfahrt und der Balkanroute. Jetzt, sieben Jahre nach seiner Flucht, erzählt der Film davon, wie es für Emrah ist seine Familie nicht sehen zu können und wieso sein neues Zuhause so wichtig für ihn ist. Mit Szenen, die auf der Balkanroute entstanden sind, führt der Film durch die Geschichte Emrahs. Im Soundtrack verschmelzen arabische und westliche Musik: Eine traditionelle Kanun aus Aleppo, eine der letzten dort gebauten Zithern vor Ausbruch des Kriegs, mischt sich mit Synthesizer-Klängen. Die Oud, ein Vorgänger der Gitarre aus dem Mittleren Osten. wird mit Streicherklängen ergänzt und mit Tonaufnahmen, die auf der Balkanroute aufgenommen wurden, abgerundet. Um vollkommen in den Film einzutauchen und die Erlebniswelt von Emrah miterleben zu können, wurde der Film im neuesten Audio-Standard Dolby-AtmosTM gemischt.

In my project I want to show that we need love, warmth, and devotion. Love, warmth, and devotion from each other as well as from the
environment, from the nature, but most important from ourself. My goal was to let everything melt together to one creation with a
meaning.

- In "crossover frequency" three dancers work on making an invisible reality visible. The project focusses on dealing with space, time and the connection between people. With the help of a game manual the audience can connect with their own reflections. Hopefulle a new space opens up to do so. The aim of the work is to give the spectators the opportunity to tie with their own threads of experience from memory and awaken a different perception of the fact that things are not only as they seem to be, but that they carry a lot of hidden information within.

The inspiration for the piece came from certain feelings, images and visions that I had from my own personal inner search processes. Together with the dancers, we embarked on a short and intense journey to capture and embody those feelings and visions. In the midst of it all, we found inspiration, communal-power, solitude, struggle and magic.

The role of empathy in coaching dancers
When we speak about art, whether it is a statue, a song, a painting or a live performance, we usually speak about the end product. The making of art, however, is very complex and very hard work. In dance in particular, the dancer going on stage, relies on a collaborative process that proceeds the performance. My project and my thesis are an attempt to illuminate the collaboration between a dancer and a dance coach, -or to use different terms, between a dancer and a teacher, ballet master, or rehearsal director. I held a panel discussion as about that topic and had the chance to speak to three very experienced experts in the field of teaching and coaching dancers. We discussed the beauty of it, but also the difficulties that may occur. The responsibility of coaching dancers, or any artist, is tremendously high, and I believe speaking about the aspect of empathy, and the catastrophic consequences of a lack of it, is essential.

- The solo piece performed by rabii hadane focusses on the condition of how to make a dance piece in the times of the pandemic. it deals with the issues of freedom,the need to dance and sanitary security. on stage we see choreographed movements that deal in different manners with the current situation, finding that there is a learning curve when it comes to dance and covid-19.

- In my project, I traced the long history of ballet and its different schools and traditions, focusing on two of the most prominent ballet techniques, The French and the Russian Vaganova, observing both their technique and methods of teaching which resulted in their distinguishing specialities, e.g., the Allegro. The project indicates the significance and the effect of the carefully developed stages of classical ballet training. The video shows a glimpse of how every detail of dance education, however minute, can influence the dancer’s technical accomplishment as a whole.

Die Choreografen Guido Markowitz und Damian Gmür, die Leiter des Ballett Theater Pforzheim, stellten emotionale und existenzielle Aspekte des Menschseins an den Anfang ihrer Kreation. Ängste, gar Verzweiflung, aber auch Kampfbereitschaft, Sehnsüchte und Träume inspirierten die Künstler zusammen mit den Studierenden zu einer Choreografie voller Bildkraft, Gegensätzlichkeit und wilder Zartheit. Kreativ, energetisch und physisch wurden die Impulse in Bewegung gebracht und choreografisch gestaltet.

The work explores the idea of thought. Examining an imaginary space of the mind where ideas are created and stored. Human beings have the ability to share those thoughts aloud, but we don't always have the courage to do so. The work is a journey to connect with our thoughts and share them with the world.

Since many years we have been exploring group choreography, and the art of creating on stage, with a group of performers, a moving organism capable of forming and breaking down into flexible and fluid formations, which is the sum of its thinking cells, creating a collective consciousness. A world enriched by the multiform harmony of its different elements, the acceptance of individual differences, their valorization and visibility.
COS, excerpt of our last work Cosmos, is the outcome of this exploration with the students of the ZHdK, the conjunction of trajectories and geometries, rotations and revolutions. And new scenic orbits.

Choreograf Muhammed Kaltuk erarbeitet mit Studierenden des 1. Jahrgangs eine abstrakte Skizze, die sich an den Themen Kampf, Zusammenhalt, Alleinsein abarbeitet. Das Arbeitsprinzip von Kaltuk ist immer erst das Entdecken der individuellen Potenziale der Tänzer:innen, mit denen er arbeitet. Damit als Ausgangsmaterial startet er in den Probenprozess. Er bringt die Tänzer:innen an ihre physischen Grenzen, fordert sie heraus und kombiniert das Bewegungsmaterial mit seiner eigenen Formsprache.
Den Rahmen bildet die Musik von Woodkid, in der es um den Kampf von Unschuld und Versuchung, um die große Angst vor dem Leben und um die Entscheidungen geht, entweder zu beißen oder gebissen zu werden. Kaltuk sucht mit den jungen Studierenden, die ganz am Anfang stehen, nach Ängsten, nach den Kämpfen, nach den Verlusten, an denen man wächst. Entstanden sind sechs Minuten absoluter Zerrissenheit, in denen alle Sicherheit zerlegt wird.

Three generation-Z dance students sharing stage with four 20th century pop giants. Two generations united in a single dance. A choreographic work composed with secret physical language derived from personal memories, flashbacks and images of childhood. Born as babies, we grow up as babies, remain babies and die as babies. Sometimes we need to cry, and sometimes we need to cry. All of us, right?
