Beschreibung	Ein Augenfotograf hat nach 39 Jahren in seiner ersten und einzigen Anstellung genug. Ein Koch sucht mit einer Sommelière nach der optimalen Zubereitungsart von Seegurken. Und ein selbsternannt prototypischer Italo fühlt sich nach dem ersten Arbeitstag auf dem italienischen Konsulat gar nicht mehr so italienisch. In „Von Sinnen“ finden diese Protagonisten, beobachtet, befragt und begleitet von der Autorin, zu einer Reportagen-Trilogie zusammen. Der thematische rote Faden ist die Frage, was die Individuen in ihren Arbeits(um)feldern brauchen, um mit ihrer Beschäftigung zufrieden zu sein. Die Sensibilität der Beobachterin ist geschärft durch die begleitende Theorie-Arbeit, welche den Entfremdungsdiskurs anhand von zwei Diskurssträngen – Entfremdung als nicht gelingende Identifikation und Entfremdung als Phänomen im Arbeitskontext – analysiert. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf aktuellen Positionen, die den Entfremdungsbegriff neu zu besetzen versuchen. Für die deutsche Philosophin Rahel Jaeggi lassen sich mit dem Begriff gestörte Aneignungsprozesse untersuchen: Entfremdung beschreibt damit keine fehlende, sondern eine defizitäre Beziehung. Wie steht es also um diese Aneignungsprozesse in einem Grossbetrieb wie dem Universitätsspital Zürich? Mit welcher Arbeitshaltung schafft es ein junger Koch von den Färöer Inseln, sich und seine Heimat auf den Radar einer neuen Touristen-Generation zu kochen? Und wie weiter, wenn eine vielversprechende Karriere keine ihrer Versprechen einhält?
