- My Bachelor Project is a short film called “Behind the curtain.” It’s mostly about the daily life of a ZHdK contemporary dance student. The second years of the Bachelor program were very kind to share their personal stories. You also see them in rehearsals, ballet training and improvisation. My intension for this project was for the audience to see the process and hard work of a dancer. Not only watching the performance on stage but also getting to know the dancers on a more personal level.

Während das Selbstverständnis von Kunstvermittler_innen sich unter anderem mit dem wandelnden Kunstverständnis verändert und abgleicht, bleiben institutionelle Strukturen oft hartnäckig und langfristig dieselben. Mit diesen Vorgaben einerseits und den „unpresentable processes“ von Kunsterziehung andererseits gilt es immer wieder umzugehen.
Dabei verändern sich nicht nur die Kunstverständnisse und die Lehrer_innen, auch die Formen des Unterrichtens, die Bedingungen und Formate, in welchen eine künstlerische Bildung gedacht und praktiziert wird, nehmen andere Konturen an. So ist mitunter die künstlerische Praxis eine edukatorische, das Vermittlungsfeld die Galerie, die Methode kollaborativ, das Endprodukt unvorhersehbar und vielleicht auch unsag- und unzeigbar.
Art Education weitet sich somit aus als Praxis, welche vom BG-Unterricht bis zur selbstorganisierten Lecture-Reihe, von der Gründung eines Kulturvereins bis hin zur kollaborativen Produktion gedacht und umgesetzt wird. Die damit einhergehenden Verschiebungen der Rollenverständnisse von Künstler_innen und Lehrer_innen ist dabei nur eines der Themen, welches uns umtreibt.
Wie verhält sich das „Eigene“ zum „Kollektiven“? Wie wird zusammengearbeitet, im Schulzimmer, als Künstler_innenkollektiv, und als Künstler_innenkollektiv im Schulzimmer? Wie geht man mit dem Unspektakulären, Kompromissvollen um, welches edukatorische Prozesse begleitet?
Diese Grenzbereiche zwischen Kunst und Education sind Teil der Erkundungen und Erforschungen der hier gezeigten Arbeiten.

Der Druck der impulsiven Regisseurin und manipulativen Intendantin treiben den Sänger an seine emotionale Grenze und lässt den Unterschied, zwischen wahren und auf der Bühne gespielten Emotionen, verblassen.

- Im Departement Kulturanalysen und Vermittlung hat im Rahmen von «Arts for Change» die transkulturelle Vermittlung im Vordergrund gestanden. Drei Projekte haben hinsichtlich der Förderungen von «Arts for Change» zum Verständnis von Transkulturalität @home und «abroad» beigetragen.
Das Projekt «Berufsfeldassessment für geflüchtete Kunstschaffende» ist ein Angebot des Departements Kulturanalysen und Vermittlung für professionelle Kunstschaffende, die aus ihren Heimatländern flüchten mussten. Die Geflüchteten verfügen häufig, aufgrund ihrer Fluchtgeschichte, nicht über Papiere und Unterlagen, welche ihre künstlerisch-gestalterischen Ausbildungen, Kompetenzen und Ressourcen nachweisen. Die ZHdK bietet mit dem Berufsfeldassessment an, die Qualifikationen, Kompetenzen und Optionen für künstlerisch-gestalterische Tätigkeiten zu eruieren und festzuhalten. Das Angebot dient den Kunstschaffenden dazu, die eigene professionelle Position im Asylland einzuordnen und Optionen sowie berufliche Perspektiven mit Fachpersonen aus vergleichbaren künstlerischen Gebieten zu erörtern. Das Berufsfeldassessment für geflüchtete Kunstschaffende gehört zu den Dienstleistungen der ZHdK Anlaufsstelle für Geflüchtete.

- Ever since I was a little girl I loved dresses and costumes. The two reasons for that was the ability to make the movement visible in space and on the other hand the transformation of your own movement adjusting to the quality of the fabric. I was intrigued by the idea that even if something is still, like in a picture, we can still see the movement in it. To bring the movement to live I wanted to work with different fabrics and dresses. While at the same time, the fabric would inspirate our movement.
The beauty about fabric, is that it gives you the ability to see air and how it is moved. As once a choreographer said “Dance is moving air”. And not only does it make the movement visible in space, it also enlargers the movement. It becomes an extension of the body. And when the movement of the dancer is finished, the fabric acts like a little time machine, continuing the movement for a second longer, reminding us of the movement, before it becomes part of a memory.
On the other hand, fabric inspires us to move in certain ways. Depending on the quality and even colour it can inspire different kinds of movement. Like a little girl who starts twirling when she wears a wide skirt, so do we in dance.

- BIOGRAPHY
After working as a professional dancer for 24 years I felt the desire to fully embrace my other passions: Choreography.
In August 2020 I started a new chapter in my life in which my own creativity continues guiding me on a journey of stabilising my own choreographic voice and getting inspired by the artists that crosses my path, developing a dialogue that culminates in something honest and unique.
The MA Choreography at the ZHdK came into my life as a place to experiment, to connect and to expand my curiosity and gave me valuable tools that I will cary along my journey.
In January 2024 I am happy to start a new important role as the Artistic Director of Tanz & Kunst Königsfelden.
DIPLOMA PROJECT
Between you and me and…
For my Final Master Project wanted to explore the creative work as a
collaboration between me and the artists involved.
- To understand what my role as a choreographer is in a
collaborative process.
- To analyse how movement created by the dancers can be
translated into my own choreographic voice/signature.
- To examine my own process of finding the ownership of the piece.
- To expose my creativity through my artistic decisions of what is
originally created by others.
- To move away from my usual way of choreographing in order to
understand if this would become another way for me to work in
the future.

In meinem Projekt beschäftigte ich mich mit meiner Faszination für veränderte Bewusstseinzustände. Dabei beziehe ich mich auf meine eigene psychedellische Erfahrung.
Folgender Leitsatz hat mich während meines Prozesses begleitet:

Basierend auf dieser Aussage führt eine audiovisuelle Tanzperformance in die Thematik ein. Emotionen wie Euphorie, Neugier, Zuneigung, Selbstzweifel, Enttäuschung und Akzeptanz werden installativ zum Ausdruck gebracht.
