      • Mimikry und Imitation sind Teil des Daseins eines Menschen. Ob bewusst oder unbewusst, wir orientieren uns am Gegenüber. Wir beobachten und lernen. Wir ahmen nach. Wir bilden uns und unser Dasein durch das Synchronisieren mit Personen aus unserem Umfeld. Dies zeigt eine gewisse Abhängigkeit auf, da wir unsere Mitmenschen brauchen, um zu entdecken wer wir selber sind. Die Arbeit setzt sich malerisch mit dem Thema der Selbstwahrnehmung auseinander, die aus einer Wechselwirkung von inneren Vorgängen und äusseren Einflüssen besteht. Verzerrte Spiegelungen und diffuse Selbstportraits zeigen, dass die Empfindung des Ichs ohne Mitmenschen vage ist. Rezipient*innen sind bedeutsam und komplettieren das Werk, indem sie sich als Gegenüber wahrnehmen.
