- Der Tod ihres Vaters muss gerächt werden. Nur: Um den Vater zu rächen, muss die eigene Mutter getötet werden.
“Elektra ... du ähnelst ihr; du ähnelst Klytämnestra. Lohnt es sich, sie umzubringen? Wenn ich mein Verbrechen in diesen Augen sehe, graust mir davor”
Nach Jahren der Trennung treffen die vier Geschwister Elektra, Orest, Iphigenie und Chrysothemis wieder aufeinander. Alle haben ihre eigene Erinnerung an die gemeinsame Vergangenheit. Zusammen müssen sie sich mit dem auseinandersetzen, was geschehen ist, und nun entscheiden, was geschehen soll.
Zum Schluss bleibt die Frage: Wer entscheidet, was gerecht ist?

- On the occasion of the exhibition ‘Cathy Josefowitz. Release’, join us for an evening of performances at Hauser & Wirth Zurich, Limmatstrasse. Following an open call by ZHdK – Zurich University of the Arts, MA and BA students, as well as mid-career academic staff and junior researchers from the Department of Fine Arts, will respond to Josefowitz’s exhibition or the Anatomical Release technique in a performative presentation.
The submissions for the program were selected by a jury formed by Bettina Moriceau Maillard, Director of Cathy Josefowitz Estate, Professor Swetlana Heger-Davis, Director of the Department of Fine Arts (ZHdK), and Hauser & Wirth.

The evening will start with an introduction to the exhibition, followed by the performance program and a drinks reception.
As part of the 2024 Open Day at Löwenbräukunst, this event is free and open to all. No registration necessary.
About the exhibition ‘Cathy Josefowitz. Release’
Developing a deeply personal visual language in her quest to represent the body as an expressive vehicle of individual experience, New York-born, Swiss-raised artist Cathy Josefowitz (1956 – 2014) created a wide-ranging oeuvre spanning drawing and painting, performance and dance. The breadth of her creative output is on view in a solo exhibition—Josefowitz’s first in Zurich—focusing on her compelling progression of the figure across four decades, from the 1970s to her later shift towards abstraction, with many works shown for the first time. The presentation takes its title from Josefowitz’s choreographic piece ‘Release’ (1988), a performance replete with fluid movements that is projected on the wall of the gallery. Drawing on the Anatomical Release technique pioneered by dance teacher and choreographer Mary Fulkerson, Josefowitz falls, twists and rolls in order to let go of tension and cultivate creativity, liberating her body and mind.

- Gravity Drifter is a small game that tells the story of Solo, who finds himself in a twisted world. After a cataclysmic event, parts of this world have been turned upside down and can now be seen in the sky filled with clouds. With the help of whirlwinds, Solo can switch between the two sides and thus search the world for clues to the origin of this devastating event. Aided only by a sheep, Solo's only hope of doing something about the chaos is to find the source.

For both of these jobs I originally constructed a sonic identity for each, back in early 2020, before I began my studies at ZHdK. What came later in 2021 was a development and arrangement of that same work, now for different purposes.

For the music I primarily relied on software instruments, and focused on the functionality of each piece: title screen, hub world, and battle theme; all three consistent in sound and motif.
