Beschreibung	I am totally intrigued by the idea of creating space that extends from the inside out. Learning through our own body, a body that moves, feels, and dreams. Designed from the body with its aspirations and needs. Being a fashion designer, I see clothing as an extension of our skin or body. Clothing further extended becomes an individual architecture. It is our outside while it also reflects our inside, albeit most privately. As we move around in public spaces with their individualized clothing or “architecture,” we are confronted with various cultural, social, and political issues. I am interested in exploring the blurring lines between the private and public in the context of these “wearable identities.” I am interested in using conventional and new materials together with the latest technology to create new interactions between the individuals or groups within a society. As in an imaginative world of a small child, certain spaces can be thought of as popping-up whenever one needs them. Thereafter, they are no longer visible. The idea is to envision a space with elements that combine our visual, hearing, and tactile senses so that the space is responsive to its users and has a playful character, and thereby allows its users to explore the surrounding space and thereby find their own space of retreat. I approached these questions by creating various scenarios of future spaces inside and outside, in private and public spaces. When developing these scenarios, it helps to look at the status quo of existing public spaces and workspaces, for example. How much freedom of thought, how much relaxation do these spaces provide? Creating such scenarios, it might be possible to influence certain elements while creating such spaces. Such scenarios could be used to develop further design solutions to these issues.
