Theatre is increasingly being used as a tool for international community building, and partitioners pointed out that participatory approach is an essential element to be included in the practice to make such project effective and successful (Sloman, 2012). Most researches on participatory theatre projects related to community building studied the construction of local communities (Vgl. Sloman, 2012), where local participants participated in a long-term project related to local issues with the aid of experts. But will it be still effective when the participants only participate in a one-off event?
And can participatory theatre be used in community building with foreign issues?
